FOI – Analysis of safety risk factors

The request was successful.

Dear Essex County Council,

FOI – Analysis of safety risk factors

Please define the mechanism determining the hierarchy for footways in Essex in relation to inspection timings. Particular attention should be occasioned to identify the risk factors used to differentiate the timings of inspections.

Government guidance would suggest that a list of the factors should have been defined in the process of creating the hierarchy. For instance if location is a defined factor and vulnerability of users and or general condition / history of defects are not then this should be identified. A full list of factors used in the process is requested.

For the following roads in Frinton-on-Sea please identify their position in the hierarchy and the risk factors used to allocate the location into the hierarchy.

Cliff Way
Eton Road
Ferndown Road
Fifth Avenue
Holland Road
Quendon Way
St Marys Road
Upper Second Avenue
Upper Third Avenue
Waltham Way
Winchester Road

Thanking you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Jo Smith
