FNOs in detention

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Home Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Home Office,

Please provide the number of foreign national offenders (total), the number of potential trafficking victims with FNO status, and the number of recognised victims of trafficking with FNO status, who were detained under immigration powers between 2014-2018.

Please present these as annual figures broken down by year and status (Total FNOs, potential victims of trafficking FNOs, and confirmed victims of trafficking FNOs).

Yours faithfully,

M Esslemont

Dear Home Office,

I wish to raise a time complaint for FOI ref 54835, in which I ask for the number of Foreign National Offenders in detention who have previously interacted with the National Referral Mechanism.

This data was referenced by the previous Immigration Minister over one month ago as part of an Urgent Question in Parliament. Yet, this request for the same data has been delayed beyond the statutory time limit for FOIs. For this reason, I wish to complain about the length of time it has taken to release the source of this data in the public domain upon request, and ask the Policy Area to disclose this data in a timely manner.

Yours faithfully,
M Esslemont
