Defenders of the Lowland Environment
Thank you for your helpful response. I'd already reviewed the policies page on your public website before submitting my request.
I couldn't find the information I was seeking, hence making this request, as set out my original email: “Current written protocols, policies and procedures relating to management of flood water during periods of flooding on the River Thurne and surrounding areas, including the movement of excess water from low-lying land into the river network via pumping stations.”
Could you therefore either: direct me to the specific documents on the website which contain this information; or supply the particular information originally requested? If there are no such specific written policies etc, could you please confirm to me that you do not hold this information.
Dear Mr W R Jackson,
We can confirm that there are no specific policies for flood water management on the River Thurne, other than what has already been provided.
The only other specific documents would be Water Level Management Plans WLMP https://www.wlma.org.uk/uploads/WMA_WLMP..., but these are less related to the management of wholescale flooding as we currently see.
We could send WLMPs if required, however these will cover different catchments, so please can you let us know which specific catchment(s) you are interested in.
Best regards
