Dear North Lincolnshire Council,

I am writing in response to your question: "Could you please clarify what you mean by 'Flood action groups'"

Flood Action Groups are groups of community members and citizens set up with the purpose of either building local resilience to flooding or lobbying government authorities for changes in flood risk management policy. They are often, and not always, networked by a national charity, the National Flood Forum.

Such groups would normally have contact with their Lead Local Flood Management Authority under the 2010 Flood and Water Management Act, which North Lincolnshire is for its area.

I hope this helps clarify.

Yours faithfully,

Louis Ramirez
