Response Letter - FOI Application DM2020/0074 (please quote in all

I write in connection with your request for information, which was
received by Merseyside Police on 14/01/2020, concerning:

Your request for information has been considered and I am not obliged to
supply the information that you have requested.

Section 17, Freedom of Information Act, 2000, requires Merseyside Police,
when refusing to provide such information (because the information is
exempt) to provide you the applicant with a notice which:
(a) states that fact,
(b) specifies the exemption(s) in question and
(c) states (if that would not otherwise be apparent) why the exemption
applies.

Reason for Decision:

Information exempt by virtue of Sections 21 and 31(1) of the Freedom of
Information Act. 

Section 21 states that information which is already accessible via other
means is exempt from disclosure.

Section 31 states that information which could affect law enforcement
functions is exempt from disclosure.

This communication therefore serves as a Refusal Notice under the FOI
