I requesting a full fleet list of SWAST vehicles (or as many as possible)

This must include:
Vehicle fleet number (optional)
Registration (optional)
Base (detailing specific station, not just area)
Make
Model
Role (emergency ambulance, RRV etc)

Please could this be presented in a Spreadsheet.

Finally, if the base, make, model or role is not included, an internal review will be requested.

Thank you for your request for information regarding our fleet which we
received on 23/4/19.

 

We will deal with this request in accordance with your right of access to
information we hold under the Freedom of Information Act and I attach a
leaflet containing further information about both your rights and our
obligations under this legislation. You will see from this that we are not
obliged to generate information we do not already hold in order to provide
what we are asked for, such as by collating data or formulating direct
answers to questions, but you are entitled to receive copies of records
(or extracts from them) that contain the information you have requested.

 

We will research the information you have requested and we will respond
providing what we hold no later than 23/5/19 in accordance with the
timescales set by the Act.

 

We will inform you if:

a) We are unable to provide you with any of the information you have
requested, and explain the reason for this; and

b) Any fee that is payable for the information we are able to provide.

 

In the meantime, if you have any queries or require clarification on any
aspect of your request or how we will respond, please do not hesitate to

I refer to our acknowledgement on 24/4/19 in respect of your request for
information under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.  We
are able to provide the following information:

possible) (DCA) and Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV)
allocation.
 
 
This must include:
It is important to note that SWASFT has

which may move ambulance resources
Registration (optional) during a particular shift, or at the
beginning of a shift when the staff
Base (detailing specific station, becomes operational.  Resources are

(emergency ambulance, RRV etc.) dispatched to an incident and although
resources may appear to be lower at a
particular station the resourcing needs
are considered across a wider area to
ensure resources are better placed to
meet all local area demands.

 

We are unable to provide you with any of
the vehicle registration numbers and
call signs. We consider this information
to be exempt from disclosure under the
following sections of the Freedom of
Information Act:

 

- Section 31(a): to avoid prejudice to
the prevention of crime by making the
Trust vulnerable to individuals
attempting to imitate Trust operational
staff and their vehicles.

 

- Section 38(1)(b):to avoid endangering
the safety of any individual (whether
staff or patients) if Trust vehicles
could be identified or duplicated by
individuals for unlawful purposes.

 

Both these exemptions are subject to a
public interest test, the Trust
considers the safety of its patients,
staff and other members of the public is
paramount and that their interests are
best served by withholding this
information and not subjecting them to
any additional preventable risk.

 

Furthermore, we have not provided the
details of specialist vehicles we hold
within the Trust due to the specific
function these vehicles perform (HART
vehicles, Resilience etc.). The
knowledge of their volume and location
could impact on the Trusts ability to
provide sufficient coverage of its
region and identify areas which are
potentially more susceptible to major
incidents or acts of terrorism. We are
withholding this information under
Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of
Information Act.

 

Please note that, under the Re-use of Public Sector Information
Regulations, if you wish to publish or otherwise use this information
besides for your own means, you will need to seek our permission to do so.
