• Salary Sacrifice set up (Yes/No).

I am writing regarding your information request received by Braintree
District Council on the 31/01/2024, case reference 7468.

 

Your request for information has been processed under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA). The Act enables access to information held by the
Council, subject to exemptions contained within the Act.

 

The Act does not require the Council to create information to respond to a
request if the requested information is not held, nor to give an opinion
or comment.

I would like to request an update on the fleet details for all vehicles
please. This should include anything that is outright purchased, leased,
and any salary sacrifice provision.

Please could this include the following:

 

• Tender portal used (CCS, TTPL ect).

Braintree District Council use a number of tender portal depending on what
is being procured. We have used CCS and TTPL, as well as our own
Frameworks. Currently we have a tender out via TPPL with further ones
planned

 

• Date of next Fleet tender/review.

Braintree District Council have a rolling VEP (Vehicle Replacement
Program). This holds all of the fleet and is constantly reviewed and
updated by the Transport Manager and accountants, this ensures the Council
utilises all its assets fully and in the most cost effective and efficient
way. Each year sees a number of assets replaced

 

• Number of Employees.

For commercial vehicles, this is a 7 year rotation on a rolling contract.

As for lease car, this is dependant on employee requirements and is
between 3 and 4 years

 

• The purchase method for the cars & commercial vehicles (outright,
leased, salary sacrifice).

Braintree District Council now opts to purchase vehicles.
