Re: Information request
Thank you for your request dated 3rd July 2017 for information from NHS Blood and
Transplant (NHSBT) regarding our fleet.
I am writing to advise you that we are able to provide you with the following
information in response to your request.
1. A total fleet number (including covert and overt vehicles)?

2. The breakdown of the fleet by make and model?

3. An estimation of the total fleet's annual mileage?
6,343,824 miles.
4. An estimation of each fleet's make and model of vehicle annual
mileage?
See attached spreadsheet.
5. The expected / optimum life of each vehicle make and model?
See attached spreadsheet.
6. The expected annual maintenance cost of each vehicle make and
model?
Under section 43 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not obliged to
release further information about these contracts because disclosing the
information under the Act would, or would likely to, prejudice the commercial
interests of the public authority and this is not outweighed by the public
interest in disclosure.
7. What are the current maintenance arrangements for the fleet - in-house /
outsourced?
Outsourced to third party provider by Government Procurement Tender.
8. How many in-house workshops (if any) are used for maintenance across
the authority?
Nil.
9. Does the service out-source any of their fleet maintenance works to a
local supply chain?
No.
10. If so, can the details of the works out sourced and main dealerships
please be outlined.
