FoI request re Flagging of chargeable patients

Dear Ms Atkinson,

This is to acknowledge receipt of your request for information relating to
the number of patients flagged as chargeable each month using the Personal
Demographics Service on Spine for each month for the period 01/07/2018 to
01/07/2020. This was received on 14 July 2020.

Whittington Health NHS Trust is committed to complying with requests made
under the Freedom of Information Act 2000; however, as you are aware the
NHS is facing unprecedented challenges relating to the coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic at the current time and our resources have been
prioritised to support our front-line colleagues who are working
tremendously hard to provide care for our patients.

The Information Commissioner's Office has recognised the current situation
in the NHS as being out of the ordinary.

While it is always our aim to be transparent and to work with a culture of
openness, at this time, the care of our patients and the safety of our
staff take precedence. As a result of our prioritisation on supporting
front-line colleagues we will not respond to any requests for information
which require our front line and clinical staff to take time away from
their duties.

If your request is not something that we routinely hold or have quick
access to, it is likely that responses to some requests for information
will be delayed or unable to be accepted.  This is because non-clinical
staff are supporting the front line work.

We apologise for this position in advance, and will endeavour to provide
you with as much information as we can, as soon as we are able.
