Fixed penalty charges for electronic ciggerette smoking on trains...
Dear Merseytravel, Can you tell me how many fixed penalty tickets under bylaw 3 for the use of electronic cigarettes have been issued on the Merseytravel network in the previous two years..
Yours faithfully,
Geoff Kelly
Dear Mr Kelly,
Thank you for your email. Could I just clarify two points on your request please?
The first point is that you make reference to bylaw 3 -are these rail bylaws that you are referring to or some other bylaws?
You have also made reference to the 'Merseytravel network'. Is this reference to the Merseyrail network or is the reference to a wider remit including the bus network, ferries and the Mersey Tunnels?
Once I have the clarification on these two points, I will begin to make enquiries within Merseytravel to determine what information is held.
If you wish to discuss this request further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0151 330 1679.
Kind regards,
Tony Fitzpatrick

The request is for all travel services that have the bylaw 3 signs displayed on their mode of transport I know for sure that Merseyrail use this bylaw ...Bylaw 3 is quoted as the legislation that these penalty's are operated under...I hope this clarifys my request.
