Fixed Annual Leave for Junior Doctors

We're waiting for M Cameron to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Scottish Government,

The Review Body on Doctors and Dentists Remuneration 46th Report:2018 states that the Scottish Government was looking to implement a minimum rest period of 46 hours after a period of night shift working, improved rest and catering facilities for those working out of hours, and improved rota design and planning. What work has been undertaken on each of these topics since the report was published in July 2018. In particular, what has been considered, what has been ruled out and why, and what has been implemented or provided. Please provide details of all work undertaken and progress made with timescales for all work undertaken and progress made, and details of and timescales for all remaining work.

The same report also stated that the Scottish Government would explore flexibilities around the use of fixed annual leave. What work has been undertaken to explore flexibilities around the use of fixed annual leave. In particular, what has been investigated and when, what has been considered, what has been ruled out and why, and what has or will be implemented. Please provide details of all work undertaken and progress made, with timescales for all work undertaken, progress made and details of and timescales for all remaining work.
