Firearms use by military personnel at the 2012 Olympics

Dear Home Office,

When military personal are deployed as security staff, to assist the police and for logistical support during the London 2012 Olympic games;

(a) Will any of them routinely carry firearms? If so, how many?
(b) Will firearms be available to those who do not routinely carry them?
(c) What ammunition will be used in said firearms? e.g. live
ammunition or baton rounds?
(d) What powers of arrest will they have above that of a normal citizen?
(e) Will those who assist the police be deployed outside of areas where Olympic events take place?
