Thank you for your request of 15 February, in which you asked for the
following information:
Please provide me with:
any pre-implementation reports or evidence-base used by the
Fire Service in coming to a determination that ANPR camera-
controlled point-closures should be introduced to the Cowley
LTNs in place of physical point-closures including lockable
steel/wood point-closures.
If no such materials or evidence base exists, please confirm this also.

OFRS have been involved with partner meetings hosted by OCC Highways
regarding LTNs generally. However, no reports or evidence base has been
produced by OFRS regarding the use of ANPR camera controlled point
closures being used in place of steel/wood point closures. It should be noted
that the consultation process and final decisions are to be carried out by OCC
Highways and not OFRS.
