Dear Oxford City Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Oxford City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Fire Risk Assessments For Past 2 Years'.
Thank you for your response of 04 March 2025. You claim that certain information has been redacted as "adverse effect on public safety. It is our view that to provide all of the information requested would risk public safety. " I can think of no reason why making your findings available to the public would put them at risk. It would seem more likely, that you are withholding information that could embarrass or show the Council in a bad light due to their failings.
Before I decide to escalate this complaint, I will give you the opportunity to explain what is the nature of the information you are withholding and if you plan on making this information available to the public some time in the future and if so when? What is the job title of the most senior person who has decided to withhold the requested information.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...
Yours faithfully,
Pauline Susini
