Fire Hydrants
Dear Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service,
I was wondering if you could provide me with the following information
(A) If its the responsibility of Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service or local authorities to check and test fire hydrants that are located in public places
(B) If its the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service responsibility to have the fire hydrants checked and tested, the number of fire hydrants checked and tested in the years 2012,2013 and to-date in 2014
(C) In the years mentioned the number and percentage of fire hydrants that were checked and found to be in good working; the number and percentage of fire hydrants that were checked and found that additional repairs were needed to be carried
(D) The frequently in which fire hydrants are tested eg; once a year, twice yearly etc
Yours faithfully,
Emma Smith
