Fiona Woolf and her relationship with Leon Brittan Overarching Child Sexual Abuse Inquiry
Dear Home Office,
Fiona Woolf was appointed by Theresa May, Home Secretary, as Chair of the overarching child abuse Inquiry some time ago.
She has been strongly linked to Leon Brittan, who is alleged to be involved in a cover up of child abuse regarding various dossiers, a rape and child sexual abuse at Elm Guest House.
The Home Office is also centre stage in allegations of cover up of child sexual abuse regarding the dossiers, and the recent Review into the dossiers, and Review of the Review into the dossiers, as well as the review into funding of the Paedophile Information Exchange, and not forgetting the inexplicably late publication of the Macur Review.
Fina Woolf has been abroad and been abseiling but has been conspicuously silent and made no statement on the child abuse inquiry , to the disgust and heartwrenching despair of many survivors.
When will Fiona Woolf make a statement on her relationship with Leon Brittan?
Was the Home secretary aware of the relationship between Leon Brittan, his wife and Fiona Woolf when she was appointed?
How can an inquiry be carried out impartially if Fiona Woolf is so intimately tied to one of the main people to be investigated?
What body carries out vetting procedures for the inquiry?
When is Fiona Woolf due to finish her work with the City of London? When is she due to start her work on the Inquiry? How long is it due to last, how is it due to be funded and how much money is being made available for the inquiry.
When are the full terms of reference going to be released? What are they?
Who has already been announced as members of the inquiry and when were they asked?
Yours faithfully,
Barbara Jones

Dear Home Office,
I asked my original questions on 22 Sept 2014, you finally answered on 9 April 2015. You rightly answered that things had moved on- precisely becuase you had failed to answer the questions in the time specified by law.
However these questions are still valid and meet the criteria for FOI.
The questions were
1. Was the Home secretary aware of the relationship between Leon
Brittan, his wife and Fiona Woolf when she was appointed? (Please release any documents about this)
2. What body carries out vetting procedures for the inquiry?
3. Who has already been announced as members of the inquiry and when
were they asked? (as of 22 Sept 2014)
Yours faithfully,
Barbara Jones
Dear Barbara Jones,
Thank you for contacting the Home Office with your below request, which we
received on 25/10/2015.
Unfortunately, due to a delay in your communication reaching the correct
department, your request was not processed until recently. For which, we
must apologise.
Your request has, however, now been assigned to a caseworker (case ref
37843) and is being treated as a priority. The original deadline was
23/11/15. We realise it is now late.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you,

Note no apology that the request was only answered 18 months after it was put it. That is because the Home Office regularly answers late, it seems to be an unpleasant, illegal and antidemocratic tactic.
