In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I'd be most grateful if you can provide me with the following information:

1) Whether your pension fund(s) has any exclusion criteria against indiscriminate weapons, weapons of mass destruction, or nuclear weapons

1b) The amount invested in your pension fund

2) Whether you hold any non-pension investments in funds, and whether they have any exclusion criteria against indiscriminate weapons, weapons of mass destruction, or nuclear weapons

2b) What amount is currently invested

3) A list of banks currently holding funds for you and an approximate amount held by each bank.

4) Whether the council has any internal exclusion policies relating to investment in, or banking with institution that are financially linked with, indiscriminate weapons, weapons of mass destructions, or nuclear weapons.

Pension funds are administered by Hertfordshire County Council. Further

We have no such exclusions in place but would not intentionally invest in
such schemes.  Our treasury management investment strategy can be viewed

amount held by each bank.

Investments can vary considerably on a daily basis. Our only long term
investments are in Property Funds:  

Lothbury Property Fund - £10m

Hermes Property Fund - £10m

 

Our short term investments as at 14.04.22 were as follows:

 

Lloyds Bank - £3.7m Santander - £1.5m

Coventry BS - £7.2m

Standard Chartered Bank – Sustainable Deposit - £9.5m

Morgan Stanley - £2.5m

National Westminster Bank - £1.5m

4) Whether the council has any internal exclusion policies relating to
investment in, or banking with institution that are financially linked
with, indiscriminate weapons, weapons of mass destructions, or nuclear
weapons.

We have no such exclusions in place but would not intentionally invest in
