Financial Information concerning FCO & BBC MediaAction

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,

1. Please can you tell me how much the FCO paid BBC Media Action for the BBC MediaAction operation in Ukraine, and in particular how much FCO paid to run the '5baksiv' project 2014 -2016 as detailed on BBC MediaAction website. Please supply the Terms of Reference for the BBC work for which the FCO money is to be used together with the names and departments of those responsible for overseeing the expenditure of this FCO public money,

and,

2. How much money BBC Media Action has received from FCO for BBC MediaAction operations in Ukraine for the period 2016 to date, together with details of what any such funding has been used for,

and,

3. Please supply copies of documents which demonstrate that normal competitive tendering procedures were adhered to in making the FCO contractual award to BBC MediaAction

3. Please can you provide the FCO documentation relating to US State Department funding to BBC Media Action in respect of Ukraine for the periods above. Such documentation might include formal and informal discussion between FCO US State Department and BBC Media Action, Memorandum of Understanding, Formal letters detailing funding award and size of monetary award, and documents pertaining to UK government approval for US State funding of BBC Media Action for example. Such documentation may be held as lose notes, formal minutes, letters and or other documents in paper and electronic form.
