2) In the same period, what was the total number of HCPTS conduct and competence hearings whereby the registrant had previously been investigated for misconduct by the HCPC?

2) In the same period, what was the total number of HCPTS conduct and competence hearings that resulted in the registrant being struck-off?

Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(FOIA).

 

Please find below our response to your questions.

 

1) Between April 2021 and April 2022, what was the total number of HCPTS
conduct and competence hearings?

 

Between 01/04/2021 and 31/03/2022, 159 Conduct and Competence hearings
were concluded (had a decision).

 

2) In the same period, what was the total number of HCPTS conduct and
competence hearings whereby the registrant had previously been
investigated for misconduct by the HCPC?

 

Out of the registrants who had a concluded Conduct and Competence hearing
between 01/04/2021 and 31/03/2022, 22 registrants had been previously
investigated for misconduct.

 

2) In the same period, what was the total number of HCPTS conduct and
competence hearings that resulted in the registrant being struck-off? 

 

Out of the 159 Conduct and Competence hearings, 31 had a strike off
decision.
