Dear David Andrews
Freedom of Information Act 2000
Thank you for your information request received on 17/09/2021. This
request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Some of the information is being withheld, as we believe that it
exceeds the statutory limit of £450 set out in Section 12 of the
Freedom of Information Act.
You requested the following information:
For each of the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 please
state:
1. Total amount of filming revenue for filming In all Camden locations
2. Total amount of filming revenue for filming for each of the top 10
locations
Response to question 1
Assuming that you mean Brent Council locations (and not Camden, which we
are not responsible for), I’m afraid that we can only partially fulfil
your request and provide the total amount of revenue filming for the years
2015 onwards, this is due to change in management and how information was
recorded. Please see table below, breaking down income for financial years
15/16 to 20/21. Please note that our financial year and records run from
April to March:
Financial year (runs April to March) Total income (£)
15/16 109,393
16/17 181,097
17/18 147,813
18/19 144,225
19/20 251,675
20/21 151,090
Response to question 2
This information is being withheld on the basis that it exceeds the
statutory limit of £450 set out in Section 12 of the Freedom of
Information Act.
Under section 12 of the FOI act, we cannot fulfil your request, as
complying with your request would exceed 18 hours (approx. 2.5 days) for
our film officer to collate this information. As the income has not being
logged per film location, the film officer would have to gather this
information by manually searching through approximately 150-300 invoices
raised (on various systems) for the last seven financial years. As the
film office compromises of only one full time film officer, it is
estimated that this will take longer than 18 hours and would negatively
impact service delivery.
Therefore this constitutes a refusal notice under Section 17 of the
Freedom of Information Act for this part of your request.
If you are dissatisfied with the way in which your request has been
handled or the outcome, you may request an internal review within two
calendar months of the date of this response by writing to the following
address:

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request or internal
review, you have a right to appeal directly to the Information
Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be
contacted at:
The Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF. Phone: 0303 123 1113

I will now close your request as of this date.
Yours sincerely
Louise McKenna
Filming and Advertising Officer
