The request was partially successful.

Dear Greater Glasgow NHS Board,

Following a tweet by a junior doctor on approximately 16th May 2021 that began “now hearing of multiple deaths following last night” with calls to ban the gathering of football fans after the events in Glasgow on 15th May 2021. I’d be obliged if you could furnish me with the data showing the realities behind this tweet, specifically:

- What number of people died in Glasgow’s hospitals between 15th and 16th May that can be directly attributed to the gathering on 15th?
- What was the total number of people who visited A&E departments throughout Glasgow on 15th-16th May?
- What percentage of the above A&E patients were involved in the gathering on 15th May in Glasgow?
- What was the most common complaint/injury/medical issue that brought people to A&E in Glasgow hospitals between 15th-16th May?
- What percentage increase or decrease was there in Glasgow’s A&E departments on the 15th-16th May 2021 compared to the same dates in 2020 and 2019 respectively.

Yours faithfully,

ajackson
