We're waiting for Nicholas Wells to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Kent County Council,

This request is being made under the Freedom of Information Act.

Please confirm what plans, if any, Kent County Council (KCC) has for the roll out of the 5th Generation Wireless System (5G) network in Thanet, and specifically the following:

- What date did/does KCC intend to roll out 5G in Thanet?

- Who has approached KCC to roll out 5G in Thanet?

- How will the 5G network be distributed in Thanet, specifically what technologies and objects (such as lamp posts) will be utilised?

- What activities, if any, have KCC already carried out in relation to rolling out 5G in Thanet and what is the cost of this so far?

- Who is funding the cost of rolling out 5G in Thanet?

- Has KCC received any incentive payments for adopting 5G in Thanet, and if so who has offered and/or provided these payments?

- What safety data has KCC received or collated in relation to the safe use of 5G in populated areas?

- Is KCC aware of any potential safety concerns on plant, animal and human life in relation to exposure to 5G high energy electromagnetic radiation?

- Has KCC conducted any safety review of its own in relation to the use of 5G in Thanet, and specifically what impact does it determine it may have on the health and well-being of the population of Thanet, including pets, wild animals, insects and plant life?

I look forward to receiving answers in relation to the questions above. If you require any further clarification on any of the above please do not hesitate to ask, however please do not let such clarification(s) prevent you from answering any of the others questions.

Yours faithfully,

Nicholas Wells
