Dear Abdul,

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Request dated 20th August 2018 in relation to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Unfortunately the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB) does not hold all of the information you are seeking. Partnership activity in the city targeted at eradicating FGM is overseen by Birmingham Against Female Genital Mutilation (BAFGM). I have enclosed a direct link to the BAFGM website, which I hope will assist and give you oversight of partnership intervention in this important area: http://bafgm.org/

The BSCB commissions a comprehensive range of Multi-Agency Safeguarding training for professionals working with children and families. The training compliments the core safeguarding training for the children's workforce provided by individual organisations.
