Colchester Hospital is are governed by North East Essex CCG in terms of
current fertility criteria as laid out in the North East Essex CCG
clinical priorities policy which is available on the CCG website. This can

1.         What are your policies on:

a.       Two females seeking fertility treatment?

With reference to the Ipswich and East Suffolk CCG T39 policy, two females
are entitled to NHS funded IVF if they self-fund 6 cycles of intrauterine
insemination within a 12 month period within a designated fertility clinic

 

b.       Two men seeking an egg/surrogacy?

This would be considered exceptional funding by the CCG, therefore we do
not have any policies to follow

 

2.         What guidelines are given to GPs to refer, if so can you
provide a copy?
