Failure to revoke Gordon Anglesea's Police pension.

Freesia made this Freedom of Information request to North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was refused by North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner.

Dear North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner,

There are reports that Gordon Anglesea, former senior Police officer in North Wales Police, continued to receive his Police pension after being convicted of offences of serious child abuse. His widow will receive a Police pension for the rest of her life.

Was any action taken to revoke these pensions? What steps were taken to commence proceedings for the pensions to be revoked? Were any actions initiated at all and, if so, what were they?

Please provide documents that relate to the matter of the pensions being revoked subsequent to Anglesea's conviction.

Yours faithfully,

Freesia Mason

Dear Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner,

Thank you for your response, the contents of which are considered to be obstructive. You claim my name is a pseudonym, please provide the basis for your allegation here.

The request has been made in writing and is a valid request made in the format customary for this site. The information being sought has been listed. I have made numerous requests before without encountering any problems until now. I can only assume that you prefer to engage in obfuscation, rather than deal with this request.

I have no intention of posting my address and putting proof of identification online as this puts myself at risk of identity theft and more.

I take great exception to the manner in which you have dealt with this and shall take this further if necessary.

I can see why it would be an embarassment for you to disclose the circumstances surrounding Gordon Anglesea not losing his Police pension.

I put it to you that you are attempting to evade answering the request by acting in this manner. I think the reasons for this are open to speculation but no doubt the influence of Freemasonry is a corrupting factor here just as it was with bringing Gordon Anglesea to trial and justice. The question is how many other officers in North Wales police have escaped justice for their crimes involving child abuse?

Yours sincerely,

Freesia Mason.
