Failure to publish council minutes

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment should have responded by now (details). The person who made the request can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment,

I note despite repeated requests minutes of various council meetings have not been published and I am concerned about governance and accountability

Minutes of council meetings not published have previously been referred and noted in minutes as in dispute apparently

Please explain why minutes have recently been published for meetings in 2022 but knowing other minutes of meetings in that year have not been and please advise will they now be published or will you claim you are under no legislated timeframe to do so in which case you will publish only minutes you feel you wish to do in timeframes if at all you feel appropriate

Yours faithfully,

Thank you

Data Protection Officer, Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment

Dear Mr Manning,

This is not a valid request for information under the Freedom of
Information (FOI) Act 2000 and as such CCEA will not be processing it
under that legislation. Whilst it is clear that you remain dissatisfied,
CCEA has clearly and consistently tried to address your issues in our
previous FOI responses dated 19 May 2021, 21 January 2022, 29 July 2022, 6
January 2023, 18 January 2023 (4 separate responses issued on the same
day) and 2 February 2023.

CCEA remains committed to complying with the requirements set out in the
Publication Scheme and although we are not required to set deadlines for
doing so, we are aiming to have all ratified minutes published by the end
of August 2023 at the latest.

Best wishes.

Data Protection Officer
