Dear NHS Improvement,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from NHS Improvement:

All letters and emails between 1 March 2020 – 1 June 2020 from the Chief Execute of NHS Improvement to other government bodies, private companies and NHS entities concerning Faculty and their involvement in the NHS COVID-19 App including other digital services used to track and trace individuals who have come into contact with Covid-19.

Faculty is also known as Faculty Sciences, Faculty AI, Faculty Sciences Ltd and the Advanced Skills Initiative. Please include these in your search.

Please provide the information in a combined PDF document.

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

Under the Freedom of Information Act public authorities are required to respond to requests no later than 20 working days.

The Act makes this clear:

“a public authority must comply with section 1(1) promptly and in any event not later than the twentieth working day following the date of receipt.”
