Facial Recognition Technology (FRT)

We're waiting for Ben Quinn to read recent responses and update the status.

• Has Facial Recognition Technology been used by your force in 2022 and/or 2021?
• If so, what was the name of the company (or any other entity) which provided the technology?
• Does the force have any plans to use Facial Recognition Technology in 2023 and/or 2024?

Please initiate an internal review of this decision.
At the very please please also consider answer the questions with a view to clarifying whether the force uses or is planning to use overt facial recognition technology - as defined police guidelines. I can appreciate the need for more consideration of the covert use, for obvious security reasons.
