Extreme Solar UV Index Score in the United Kingdom

Dear Meteorological Office,

Under the freedom of information request and/or environmental information regulations,

I would like to request information held by the Met Office on incidents recorded of an extreme score (11) or above in the UV index in the United Kingdom.

If there are any incidents recorded, please provide - if held - the following:

* the location (UK only)

* the date and time of the incident

* the amount of ozone in the atmosphere during the incident

* the weather during the incident and any other meteorological data held during that time.

If you are having trouble accessing our internet based services, for
example our website or General Aviation services, for our technical teams
to help quickly they do require both a screen shot of the error page and
above mentioned Website Technical Fault form. Without this information we
will not be able to proceed quickly in resolving your issue, as this
information is critical in aiding our investigations.

 

Android & iOS Apps

The latest version of our apps are 1.22.0

For our technical teams to help with any app related enquiries, please
ensure you have download and installed the latest version.

Retirement of Windows, Kindle & Fire Phone Apps

On 29 January 2018 the Windows, Kindle and Fire Phone Apps were retired.
These apps have not been supported for over two years and have reached the
end of their technical life cycle.

 

There are currently no plans to develop a new app for these phone users,
however we will continue to monitor user requirements. For users with
these phones we would recommend you save a browser favourite or shortcut
to

forecasts, National Severe Weather Warning Service, videos and surface
pressure charts.
