External Review of Governance of Colchester Royal Grammar School

Dear Mr F Stephens,

I am writing in response to the Freedom of Information Act request (FOI)
submitted to The Thinking Schools Academy Trust (TSAT) on 1^st May 2023
and Colchester Royal Grammar School (CRGS) on 22^nd February 2023 and the
subsequent internal review request on 29^th April 2023. From 1^st May 2023
CRGS became a school of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust and therefore
TSAT became the data controller for CRGS. As a result, all requests for
data will be the responsibility of TSAT, the data controller and processed
in line with our FOI policy;

Please find attached a copy of the requested report. You will note one
line has been redacted in accordance with our policy and the Freedom of
Information Act as it contains identifiable personal data of a student.  

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your
original request and should be addressed to Data Protection Officer,
Thinking Schools Academy Trust, Park Crescent, Chatham, ME4 6NR or via

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
