Export to Hong Kong

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs,
Good morning.
We are a doner kebab manufacturer in Tottenham east London, approval number UK5478EC.
We would like to export all lamb meat kebabs of which all lamb will come from the UK only to Hong Kong. Do we need to have any special approval to do this export, or can an OV just fill in and stamp the export certificate if all is as it should be. An early response would be appreciated.

Yours faithfully
Peter Starns. Technical Manager. VATAN CATERING Ltd

Good Afternoon Peter,

Following your enquiry. I have forwarded you PDF copies of the available
export health certificates 1957EHC & 5604EHC with the accompanying notes
for guidance.

I would suggest you review the export health certificates and notes for
guidance to see if they are suitable for the commodity you wish to export,
and also discuss with your vet. It is also advisable to check with the
importing country that they will accept your commodity on this
certificate.

If you wish to then apply for this/these Export Health Certificate(s), you
should do so using the PDF version with the covering application form
attached.   Please refer to the attached Instructions ‘Procedural
Guidance’ to complete and submit.

For all future applications, please refer to the PDF Exporter Guidance
attached which has a link that can be found in ‘Obtaining The Current EHC’
. This link takes you to a fully comprehensive list of all up to date
versions of the available EHC’s. If you require any further specimens,
please contact us.

Please note:

It is the exporters responsibility to ensure they meet the importing
requirements of the country and all consignments exported are at the
exporters own risk.

[1]What you need to do

If you need to find an official veterinarian who is trained to carry out
certification on Animal Products (which is panel PX) please email

your area.

Should you require anything which isn’t covered on the website, or you
require clarification on anything please do not hesitate to contact us
again.

Kind regards

Wendy Boyer
