Dear Mr. Leigh,

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it.

You wrote "£2.5m of the budget has come from five private sponsors and the rest from eight government departments or agencies". Could you tell me who the private and government organisations are, if possible with the amount each has contributed.

Thank you once more,

Yours sincerely,

Guy Freeman

Short answer:

The total budget for the UK Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo is approximately *£25m*.

The building of the pavilion accounts for approximately *£15m* of this sum. The other £10m will cover staff, operations management, events and communications.

*£2.5m* of the budget has come from five private sponsors and the rest [£22.5m, presumably] from eight government departments or agencies.

Foreign and Commonwealth Office
