Expenditure stats from the funding
Dear Charity Commission for England and Wales,
I had contributed to several charities in England and Wales financially and physically. I would like to know the expense spent on managing charities i.e. Salaries of the employees, rents, transport expenses and other expenses. What is the revenue of the charities and its allocation for the purpose and other expenses?
Kindly provide me with the stats.
Yours faithfully,
Saranyan

Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for your email received 29^th October in which you request the
following information.
“I would like to know the expense spent on managing charities i.e.
Salaries of the employees, rents, transport expenses and other expenses.
What is the revenue of the charities and its allocation for the purpose
and other expenses?”
I have responded to your request under the provisions of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.
I can confirm that the Commission does not hold this information.
Under s16 (duty to provide assistance) I would explain as follows.
The Commission does not hold account information for all charities
registered in England and Wales as there are different submission
requirements for different types of registration and income levels. In
regard to this the Commissions guidance on the account information a
charity is required to send to the Commission can be found at the below
link.

Only charities over £500,000 income are required to give certain annual
statistical breakdowns of their income and expenditure. The specific
breakdowns on spending required regarding this income band are as follows;
Generate voluntary income, Trading to raise funds, Investment management,
Charitable activities, Governance and Other.
If you think our decision is wrong, you can ask for it to be reviewed.
Such requests should be submitted within three months of the date of our
response and should be addressed to the Charity Commission at PO Box 211,
Bootle, L20 7YX (email: [email address])

If, after this, you remain unhappy with the decision, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. Generally,
the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted our review
procedure. The ICO can be contacted at the Information Commissioner’s
Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF (email:
[email address].)
Outside of the provisions of the FOIA I note you mention you have
contributed to several charities in England and Wales. If your interest is
in the financial information of these particular charities please access
the available financial information for each charity from our website
search below using either the registered charity name or number.
