Further to your recent request for information, the University’s response follows:

1. Request: Expenditure on IT related consultancy services since July 2013

Response: The IT department spend was £172,347 on IT Advisory/Consultancy Services between 1 August 2013 and 31 January 2014.

2. Request: Was this expenditure subject to tender or mini competition via any of the stipulated frameworks within the University / Govt sector?

Response: Of the above spend 67% (£115,074) was purchased under the London Universities Purchasing Consortium Framework agreement. The remainder will have been acquired through existing suppliers and the use of competitive quotations.

3. Request: Has the consultancy proved "value for money?"

Response: The projects for which the above services were purchased are still underway and as such their value for money cannot be assessed as yet.

4. Requests: Which Consultancy firms were contracted to carry out this work?

Response: Suppliers contracted to carry out this work are:

- Pervasive Networks Ltd
- PTS Consulting Partners LLP
- VCentral Ltd
