Freedomofinformation,

Dear Mr Jones

We refer to your request for information in respect of expenditure on
byways and rights of way over the last 20 years.

We regret that on this occasion we are unable to supply the information
that you require. This is because the total costs of providing the
information that you have requested will exceed the "appropriate limit" as
stated in The Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate
Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.

Accordingly, in accordance with Section 17 of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 ("the Act") this e-mail acts as a Refusal Notice.

It may be that we can supply some information if you can refine or reduce
your request to more manageable proportions and resubmit your request so
that it reduces the aggregate cost to within the "appropriate limit".

We have discussed your request with relevant officers who have confirmed
that to meet your request and collate the information you have requested
would exceed in excess of 18 hours. It has been suggested that to
potentially fall within the appropriate limit you may wish to
significantly reduced the time frame of your request.

If you are unhappy with the way your request for information has been
handled, you can request a review of the Council’s response. If you wish
to exercise this right, you must do so within 40 working days of the date
of this response. Please set out in writing your grounds and send your
appeal to Mrs Julie Llewellyn. She may be reached at
