How much has the council spent on salaries, staff training, equipment and
publicity (including leaflets, `no-smoking' signs, advertisements and
awareness activities)?
Westminster City Council prepared for and implemented the Health Act and
associated regulations within existing resources.

How many complaints about breaches of the ban has the council received?
Between the period of July 2007 to 20th July 2010, Westminster City
Council has received 116 complaints/enquiries:

56 complaints that were referred to us by the National Smokefree
Compliance Line
5 Enquiries (of which some may be complaints).
55 complaints via the Councils website.
How many prosecutions or penalties have there been?
Westminster City Council has carried out 3 prosecutions and hasn't issued
any fixed penalty notices to date.

How much has the council received in fines for breaches of the smoking
ban?
Nil

I've been advised that £48,854 was spent by Westminster City Council on marketing for the implementation of the smoking ban
£5,164 on the website, stubbies, leaflets and postcards
£43,690 on the mailing and printing of the business pack
