Expediting an EU law application

Colin Yeo made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Home Office,

There was until fairly recently a policy in Chapter 10 of the European Casework Instructions which set out the circumstances where a person who was awaiting a decision on an EU law free movement application could ask that the application be expedited. The policy also described how such an application should be pursued. The policy no longer seems to exist in the Modernised Guidance which replaced the ECIs.

Is there any current policy on the circumstances and means by which an outstanding EU law free movement application can be expedited? If so, could a copy please be released?

Yours faithfully,

Colin Yeo

Wonder why they redacted Linda and Debbie's names?... We all know they are the Deputy Chief Caseworkers....
