The request was successful.

Dear Devon Partnership NHS Trust,

I am writing to request data regarding the West of England Specialist Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) between January 2018 and June 2024 to supplement the publicly available numerical data. The specifics of the data I am requesting for the given period is as follows:

1) The total number of patients waiting for their first appointment at the GIC, broken down by calendar year and month, in particular the numbers for: June 2022 - November 2022; February 2023 - August 2023; November 2023 - December 2023; March 2024 - June 2024.

2) The total number of referrals to the GIC accepted, broken down by calendar year and month, in particular the numbers for: August 2022 - December 2022; February 2023 - August 2023; November 2023 - December 2023; March 2024 - June 2024.

3) The total number of first appointments at the GIC booked, broken down by calendar year and month, in particular the numbers for May 2022 - June 2023 and October 2023 - June 2024.

4) The total number of first appointments at the GIC attended, broken down by calendar year and month.

5) If held, the total number of patients discharged from the GIC without attending any appointments, broken down by calendar year and month.

6) If held, the month and year the patient seen at the GIC with the shortest wait was referred, broken down by calendar year and month. By shortest wait, this refers to the shortest wait for patients that were referred to the standard waitlist and were not fast tracked.

Where possible, please provide this information in .xls format.

Yours faithfully,

R Hayward

Dear Information Governance,

Thank you very much for your reply and the information you have provided. I'd like to ask about the data provided in response to part 6 of my request, concerning the shortest waits per month on the service. As the data indicates shortest waits per month fluctuate dramatically, can I confirm whether the service addresses referrals in order of referral date, or whether this data includes those who were fast tracked - i.e. anyone who did not wait as long as others might expect to, such as those who had time waited at other services honoured?

I hope to hear from you soon on this clarification.

Yours sincerely,

R Hayward
