FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST
Re: Exclusion of press and public from meetings
Dear Sirs,
Could you please provide the following information under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000:
In each of the last 5 calendar years and the year to date, please
provide the following information:
Where the Council, either in full council, committee or
sub-committee has used or proposed to use schedule 12A of the Local
Government Act 1972 (or any similar legislation) to exclude press
and public from a meeting, please provide:
a) The title of the meeting and date and time of that meeting
b) The agenda for that meeting and the date that this was made
available to the public
c) Any papers relating to the proposed exempt item which were
available to the public prior to the meeting and the date those
were made available
d) The minutes of the meeting
e) Any papers relating to the proposed exempt item which have
subsequently been released to the public and the date they were
made available to the public.

Dear FOI West Dorset,
In order to reduce the amount of officer time, I would be happy to restrict me request to the last 2 calendar years and the year to date.
I would expect that a search would be made of the meeting agendas and only if an agenda discloses an exempt item would the minutes of that meeting be located and searched.
Perhaps you could indicate how much officer time you would estimate would be needed to complete the FOI request and the above basis?
