Ex-Labour Prestatyn (and Meliden) Town Councillor and Denbighshire County Councillor Peter Charles Duffy attendance record for Denbighshire County Council.
Dear Dr Mohammed Mehmet. Chief Executive. Denbighshire County Council,
Please pass this on to whom it may concern.
Under the F.O.I.A. Could I have a .pdf copy and information relating to ex-Labour Prestatyn (and Meliden) Town Councillor and Denbighshire County Councillor Peter Charles Duffy attendance record for Denbighshire County Council.
a) I note you have:-

As these figure are clearly now post dated. Could I have a copy of the attendance and obviously correct the Denbighshire web site?
b) Also could I have a copy of 21/02/2011 – 16/08/2011 attendance. I note it has been 'removed' on the start of the new councillors term?
c) Could I have a copy of the documentation/relevant law concerning the 'minimum' expected attendance of a 'representative of the people' or Denbighshire County Councillor if you wish.
ci) Could I have the 2013-2014 basic remuneration or wage for a Denbighshire County Councillor
cii) Could my maths be confirmed? For the seven attendances for the last two years Denbighshire County Council has posted on its site. Ex-Labour Councillor Peter Charles Duffy has been paid £3857 per meeting?
Yours sincerely

My rational behind asking this Freedom of Information Question is to gain publicly available information that hasn’t been published. That might or might note lead to either a gross waste of money and or criminal negligence. If it is my understanding that Denbighshire County Councillors are being paid for either 'minimum' attendance and/or failing to attend Denbighshire County Council Meeting. Resulting in a rough £3857 per meeting for the 7 (seven) recorded attendances for Ex-Labour Councillor Peter Charles Duffy as an example.

Dear Denbighshire Council,
Thank you for the reply. I note there has been a second response to my request for an internal review. As you have now supplied the information. I can rescind the request for a review of the 'non information. Thank you.
Could I however have clarification as to the response:-
cii) The level of remuneration a councillor receives is not linked to the number of meetings attended.
It is worth noting that councillors undertake various roles as county councillors in their communities
and for their constituents, and may attend meetings of internal (to the Council) or external groups,
boards, panels or with Council officers etc., that are not reflected in attendance records.
and ask which of the above ex-Labour man Councillor Peter Charles Duffy actually attends. As your response is indicating over the last two and a half years a 'wage' of £32,937.50, or there about. For only nine (9) attendances or put it another way £3,660 for a few hours so called work. If my calculations are not! to be disputed.
Yours faithfully,
GARY ALEXANDER BOURNE

Councillor Peter Charles Duffy attendance record for Denbighshire
County Council.

Hi Nicola,
I believe I asked for clarification on the answer supplied?
Yours faithfully,
GARY ALEXANDER BOURNE
Dear Mr Bourne
This is a response to your email dated the 15th February. In that email
you requested a response to the following:
cii) The level of remuneration a councillor receives is not linked to the
number of meetings attended.
It is worth noting that councillors undertake various roles as county
councillors in their communities
and for their constituents, and may attend meetings of internal (to the
Council) or external groups,
boards, panels or with Council officers etc., that are not reflected in
attendance records.
and ask which of the above ex-Labour man Councillor Peter Charles Duffy
actually attends. As your response is indicating over the last two and a
half years a 'wage' of £32,937.50, or there about. For only nine (9)
attendances or put it another way £3,660 for a few hours so called work.
If my calculations are not! to be disputed.
The response from the Legal and Democratic Service is as follows:
"Information on many of the meetings and engagements that Councillors
attend are not collected by the Council, in particular meetings with or on
behalf of constituents, with Council Officers and in attendance at local
and external groups and organisations. You may be interested in knowing
that the Council organises meetings for Councillors who represent
particular areas, and these are known as Member Area Groups. Councillor
Duffy is a member of the Prestatyn Member Area Group and attendance at
these meetings is collected. Councillor Duffy's attendance since the last
Council elections in May 2012 is 11 out of 13 meetings (or 85%
attendance)."
Yours sincerely

Wonder why this has been delayed maybe we should ask for all the attendance to pay ratio for all the councillors
