Evidence verification guidance

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Department for Work and Pensions should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I would like you to confirm, first, whether the Evidence Verification guidance deposited in the Commons Library is complete and up to date; the version available would appear to be dated April 2016.

Further I would like to know whether there is any guidance issued about the manner in which evidence is provided, I am particularly curious about JCP's insistence that evidence is provided via an appointment at Jobcentre Plus rather than by document upload.

Finally I would be grateful if you would provide any guidance pertaining to verification of bank details and the manner in which that is provided to you.

Yours faithfully,

Dan Manville
