The request was successful.

Dear Aylesbury Vale District Council,

I am enquiring about the EV charging points installed at the Aylesbury council offices. As I understand these are made available to members of the public during office hours.

Usage
1) Since installation, how many charging sessions have been initiated by members of the public?
2) Since installation, what is the total kWh supplied by these charging points to sessions initiated by members of the public?
3) Since installation, how many charging sessions have been initiated by/on behalf of AVDC staff or vehicles?
4) Since installation, what is the total kWh supplied by these charging points to sessions initiated by/on behalf of AVDC staff or vehicles?
5) In total, since installation, how much have members of the public been charged for using the charging points, including connection fees and energy costs

Installation/ongoing
6) What was the total installation cost of the charging points
7) How much have the charging points cost to maintain since installation

Access/future
8) Are there plans to widen the access times or create alternative access to permit 24/7 charging without access to the main car park
9) Do AVDC plan to install more charging points in any on-street or car park location within their area

Yours faithfully,

John Portwin

Dear Aylesbury Vale District Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Aylesbury Vale District Council's handling of my FOI request 'EV charging posts at AVDC offices'.

For responses to questions 1, 2 and 5 - "Not available"
According to public information the charge points at AVDC offices are operated by ChargeYourCar Ltd (CYC) and also accessible to members of Chargemaster Plc's Polar network. Members of the public must have a membership with those services and, to use these specific charging points, pay an additional fee per charge.

If AVDC are renumerated by CYC/Chargemaster for this use of the charging facilities, it follows that there must be information held by the council for the revenue generated.

For questions 3 and 4, I received estimates.
With the above in mind, the split between public and non-public use of the charge points on at least a per-session basis must be auditable in some way. At a minimum your staff must hold dedicated charge cards enabling them to start sessions without having to make payment. I expect this data is provided to you by the charge point operators.

I hope this information will allow you to make further investigations into the responses I have received, but if you require any further clarification please don't hesitate to contact me.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...

Yours faithfully,

John Portwin
