Freedom of Information, Daventry District Council

Dear Ms Pearman

Thank you for your request for information, received by this authority on 10th October 2016.

In considering your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI), the Council has determined that the office of the Electoral Registration Officer/Counting Officer for the referendum on the United Kingdom's membership of the European Union is separate to the functions of the Chief Executive of the local authority and the responsibilities and duties associated with the former roles are personal to the post holder. A list of public bodies and local authorities that are subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act is available at the following website:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000...

The information held by a local authority, on behalf of the Electoral Registration Officer, is not currently covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Council is therefore unable to assist with your FOI request.

If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled, you may ask for a review. Please write to:
