Dear Kingston University,

I am conducting a research project concerning the number of Black/African/Caribbean/Black British students in different higher education institutions across London. I would like to request from you the following information:

1) The percentage and number of students who enrolled at Kingston University in the academic year 2015-2016 and who identified themselves as Black (African, Caribbean or Black British) upon their enrolment.

2) The percentage and number of students who enrolled at Kingston University in the academic year 2015-2016 and who identified themselves as White (White British or Other) upon their enrolment.

Kingston University publishes an annual Student Profile which contains
student ethnicity data. The 2015/16 profile is available on our website
[1]here . The following data has been extracted from this profile:

 

Ethnicity Profile as at 1 December 2015:

Black      3,248     16%

White    9,126     46%

This completes the University’s response to your information request. If
you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request an internal review of our
