Dear Home Office,

Please consider the following as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I am requesting data relating to the ethnicity of people acting as sponsors for applicants for entry clearance as a spouse, same-sex partner or civil partner under Appendix FM.

For the years 2010-2019 inclusive, please disclose the ethnicity of all those acting as sponsors of applications for entry clearance under Appendix FM. Of these, please disclose how many applications were granted and how many refused.

If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist those seeking information.
