Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),

I would like to request the latest estimates of the take-up of the main income-related benefits by caseload and expenditure in Northern Ireland. Ideally this would include estimates for take-up of Universal Credit, Pension Credit and Housing Benefit (for pensioners), however if the UC estimates are unobtainable, information on take-up for the last two benefits would be acceptable. Ideally I would like estimates for FY 2022/23 but FY 2021/22 would also be acceptable.

The Department has published estimates of Pension Credit take-up in the past, but the latest publication covered 2019/20 (see https://www.communities-ni.gov.uk/public...). If later estimates are being developed but are not yet ready for publication, then I would like a timeline for when updated information will be published.
