Network Rail Limited did not have the information requested.

Dear Network Rail Limited,

I would like to enquire about the performance and reliability of escalators and lifts at Birmingham New Street station. If possible, I would like the statistics to show a breakdown of performance per day, per escalator/lift, showing any changes before and after the new concourse opened in April 2013.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Network Rail,

Thank you for responding to my request by asking for further clarification.

To clarify, I require information which shows overall escalator and lift performance of a recent period before April 2013 (e.g. March 2012 to March 2013). And the equivalent performance statistics for the last 10 months (from April 2013 to January 2014, or near as available). Escalator/lift performance should (at a minimum) show whether or not the escalator/lift was in full working order for each entire day.

If you believe that it would be infeasible to provide me with a breakdown of performance per day per escalator/lift, may I request just the number of hours each escalator or lift was out of service per week (or at a minimum, per month).

I look forward to your response, and I thank you for your time.

Yours sincerely,
