ESAT and TMUA October 2024 grade boundaries
Dear University Admissions Tests UK,
I would like to request the raw mark to grade conversion for the 2024 TMUA (Test of Mathematics for University Admission) Entrance examination, for Paper 1, Paper 2 and the overall grade boundaries
As well as this, I would like to request the ESAT (Engineering and Sciences Admissions Test) grade boundaries, for each of the papers and the overall grade conversion.
Yours faithfully,
Panth Patel
Dear University Admissions Tests UK,
I would much appreciate it if there was a response to my FOI as soon as possible. Whilst by law I should have received something by 23 Jan 2025, I understand that there may have been delays and so would appreciate a response as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Panth Patel
Dear Panth Patel,
I am very sorry that we missed your email, and you have not had a
response.
Please be aware that your raw score is considered a subject access right,
rather than an FOI.
Information recorded by the candidate during an exam is exempt from the
subject access right. We therefore will not disclose the raw scores, score
breakdowns or the marks per question.
Both the ESAT and the TMUA are computer-based tests, and the scoring
process is rigorously tested, and quality assured at every stage before,
during and after each testing window. There is no evidence of any issues
with scoring.
For this reason, as per point 4.7 of the [1]UAT-UK Complaints and Appeals
policy, all scores are final, and no appeals or rescores will be
considered.
In terms of grade boundaries - we do not set grade boundaries so this is
not something I can provide. We pass your reported score to each
institution that uses our test and to whom you have applied via UCAS. It
is up to that institution as to how they use the score. If there are
particular scores that an institution uses to make selections or
deselections, they will be unique to that institution, and you would have
to contact them each individually to understand what that score is. UAT-UK
does not have this information.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
Kind regards
Emma
