ESA eligability for people with drug and alcohol problems
Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
Please can you tell me how DWP and ATOS Heathcare assess a persons eligability for ESA if they are problematic drug users, or alcoholics that drink daily throughout the day.
What guidelines are in place when looking at the ESA50 if a person indicates they do not not feel fit or ready for work due to drug or alcohol related issues.
What training, information or guidance does an assessor or medical professional have during a WCA if a person indicates they feel unable to work due to drug or alcohol related issues.
Yours faithfully,
Mark Sadd
