Error in information supplied by GMCA in response to a FOI request

The request was successful.

Adrian Broderick

Dear Greater Manchester Combined Authority,

On 4th February 2021, GMCA responded to a FOI request with the reference number 1759156 in relation to Manchester City Council and their Consultation with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

My own investigations show that GMCA responded to the individual who submitted the FOI and informed them that there was incorrect information in the response and an investigation would follow.

The following is part of the response given to the FOI:

"GMCA Response:

Questions 1, 2 & 3:
GMFRS have not been consulted or informed of the road filters installed by MCC, and
therefore was unaware of them."

I would like to know:
a) Did the response detailed above in respect of Q1, Q2 and Q3 above from GMCA include any erroneous information.
b) How was the error identified, and in what capacity was the individual who identified the error acting.
c) How long did the investigation into this issue take.
d) Is the investigation now complete, if not when is this expected.
e) What was the outcome of the investigation.

Yours faithfully,

Adrian Broderick
